I wanted to love this one, but unfortunately the beginning notes are a bit overwhelming for me, like the "warm vanilla sugar" scent from Bath & Body Works (I find that to be too artificial and cloying). I'm assuming it's the white pumpkin scent itself, because after it dried down for a little bit it became much more tolerable and reminded me of the retired Gingersnaps fragrance, or general sandalwood and vanilla base notes in other perfumes I've tried. Overall, not terrible, but just not my favorite from my order.
I was hoping I'd like this as much as the Winterberry + Pine scent I recently ordered, because I *LOVE* that one, but unfortunately Woodland Berry is a too strong for me. It smelled like a combination of potpourri and cough syrup on my skin, so I had to wash it off. But I've liked several of the other items I got in my first purchase! This one just isn't for me, and that's alright.
I want to know what kind of sorcery or witchcraft went into this one, because somehow Moonlit Embers perfectly captures the smell of a bonfire and toasted marshmallows. I’ve *never* found an item with this scent description that actually achieved it. Everything else I’ve found was too marshmallow-forward and cloying. Somehow you got the warm wood, sweet smoke, and toasty marshmallow scents authentically in this fragrance and it’s blowing my mind. It is a little strong at the start with the smoke scent, so I’d say a little can go a long way, but otherwise an AMAZING product!
Overall, a really great fall scent! But unfortunately for me, it reminds me way too much of the apple pie candles my mom would always get, and doesn’t quite feel “right” for a personal fragrance. I’m sure for others who didn’t get tired of the same candle smell their entire childhood, this is a 5 out of 5. I do like it enough to keep using it, though, just in little doses.
I put this on for the first time at work, and my coworker came back into the office and immediately said, “Oh, it smells like Christmas!” and asked what I’d put on. I’m seriously considering snagging another roller or a full bottle of this before it’s gone!
I’m so glad I decided to snag this while it was still in stock. This is spot-on for that subtly sweet, warm-in-the-sun, chilled-in-the-shade, earthy scent the air gets in the fall. I’m so pleasantly shocked by this! I’ll be treasuring the roller I got, but please know if you ever bring this scent back you’d have at least one person with guaranteed interest!
You know those Nabisco boxed gingersnaps you can find in the same aisle as Oreos and Goldfish snack crackers? The thin, crispy ones? This smells *exactly* like those. I’m so used to cookie scents being overwhelmingly cloying and having a vanilla or almond note that is so strong it gives people headaches, but this oil is indulgent without overdoing it. It was the first product I tried from this company and I am *so* excited to try the rest of my order because of it!
Opens with a very sweet, almost syrupy fruity peach fragrance with the tea notes in the background, with the most prominent being the bergamot. As it dries down the sweet notes start to fade and the tea notes become stronger, with green, almost astringent notes becoming noticeable. On my skin it dries down into an almost savory green note (probably the thyme mentioned in the description) which isn't my cup of tea personally, but again YMMV since this effect is limited to my skin.
Overall, it smells as advertised. Very strong on opening but longevity could be better. Good for the price
Such a shame this scent is retired. One of my fav's. So beautiful and different. Hard to find a different smelling perfume. A lot end up smelling the same.
I absolutely love the variety offered in this set. I found my favorite among them that I love and will be buying the larger size to enjoy year round. I was pleasantly surprised that I like the rest, so all will be used at some point. I also like how the scents match the two seasons… I haven’t worn the winter ones yet and look forward to enjoying them as the weather gets colder. If there’s a Spring/Summer set I might have to pick that up and have fun with those seasonal scents too!
This is currently my absolute favorite fall scent. Each cube lasts a long while, too. Smells pumpkin-y and the chai spices really come through in a lovely way!
Wonderful in every way — subtle scent that lasts the day. So sorry to see it discontinued.
I love the scent of the vanilla pumpkin. It smells so so good!
It smells smooth and nice. How do I explain this. It is a bit spicy, yet smooth. I recommend!
